The Sensibilisation course is a legal requirement for all candidates applying for a driving license in Switzerland. It must be completed before taking the practical exam.
What does the course include?
The awareness course covers key aspects of road safety, including hazard perception, defensive driving, and understanding the behavior of other road users (drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians). It is designed to help you anticipate risks early, manage speed and distance effectively, and understand the impact of factors like fatigue, alcohol, and distractions, so you can react correctly in real driving situations and adopt responsible driving habits.
This is not a traditional theory class, it’s a practical and interactive training, with real-life scenarios.

Who is this course for?
Anyone currently preparing for a Category B driving license who intends to take the practical exam. The course is mandatory, without it, you cannot register for the exam.
You don’t need to have started driving lessons.
The course can be taken at any point during your training after you have passed the theory exam.
